Agricultural Business Management course combines the best of both worlds – business and agriculture, where students learn to apply the fundamentals of business such as economics, finance and marketing to the diverse world of agriculture. In India, agriculture accounts to about 18% of our economy, whereas almost 70% of the populace is directly dependent in this field.
To keep up with the global trends, the need of the hour is to streamline the farming methodologies by providing people a deeper insight into commercialized farming practices, weather forecasting, soil management, crop conservation, agrichemicals, financing and marketing of produce. This is where Agri-Business Management comes into picture – to bridge any gaps between agriculture and its relative business aspects.
Students enrolled in the course are offered internships at agricultural firms or occasional farm/field visits, so as to equip them with the requisite exposure, skills and knowledge to grow into proficient leaders in the agri-business management field.
